Saturday Pottery Program – Beginners & Advanced | Goodwood, Adelaide
Discover the joy of creating with clay in our welcoming Saturday pottery program at Urth Clay Studio in Goodwood, Adelaide. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced ceramic artist looking to build your skills, this hands-on course is designed to help you grow your confidence and creativity.
Over the course of the program, our experienced tutors will guide you through our easy six-step pottery process. You'll learn essential ceramic techniques including wheel throwing, hand building, trimming, surface decoration, glazing, and finishing. Create beautiful bowls, mugs, cups, vases, serving dishes, and other unique ceramic pieces while exploring a variety of colours, textures, and decorative techniques.
By the end of the program, you'll have the skills to design, glaze, and finish your own food-safe ceramic pieces. Most participants create up to 14 handmade items throughout the course, although we encourage everyone to enjoy the creative and therapeutic process rather than focusing on the number of pieces completed.
Working with clay is a relaxing and mindful experience that promotes creativity, reduces stress, and provides a rewarding break from everyday life. Our supportive studio environment makes this program perfect for individuals, couples, friends, or anyone looking to learn pottery in Adelaide.

Sustainability is also at the heart of our studio, and we follow environmentally responsible practices to minimise waste and reduce our environmental impact—creating beautiful ceramics while caring for the planet.
