Mould Making for Slip casting
Make a plaster mould, this workshop is designed to teach the technique of making a plaster mould ( one part) you would be able to take this mould home on the same day and use it many times to make your favorite shape, this mould is originally used for slip casting but if you attend one of our term classes we have thought our participants many different ways to use this mould. Beginner-Friendly: This workshop is perfect for beginners with no prior experience in ceramics. Kate will provide clear instructions, individual attention, and step-by-step guidance, ensuring that you feel comfortable and empowered throughout the entire process. You're encouraged to ask questions and explore your creativity under the expert guidance of Too Friendly Ceramics. Materials and Tools: All necessary materials and tools will be provided for the workshop. You won't need to bring anything except maybe the piece you want to make a mould of, we are also providing some shapes like small cups and bowls. —just bring your enthusiasm, an open mind, and a willingness to dive into the world of slip casting. What can you make? A mould of Mug/cup - Breakfast Bowl - Little serving bowl for dips, olives, dukkah - Pot plant (great for little succulents) . Sizes: 10 x 10 cm. More about empowerment and enjoyment, and less about perfection. Bring some nibbles for a tea break.
