This pottery program is perfect for both beginners and returning students. Even if you continue enrolling in the same program for up to 2 years, you will explore different types of clay and learn new techniques every term, ensuring every experience feels fresh, creative, and inspiring. Throughout the course, we will guide you through the therapeutic journey of pottery making, including our easy-to-follow 6-step wheel-throwing method (yes, the spinny thingy 😉). While we usually recommend hand-building for first-time clay experiences, the pottery wheel truly has its own magic. By the end of the program, you will create multiple beautiful pottery pieces that are food-safe and waterproof, finished with your choice of colored glazes. You may choose to focus on one larger project or create several smaller pieces — the experience is completely flexible and guided by your own creative style and pace. Our Mindful Pottery Programs are designed for all skill levels. We believe in sharing knowledge, learning together, and creating without judgment or competition. Every session is known for its relaxed, welcoming, social, and inspirational atmosphere. Each term is thoughtfully planned to introduce new techniques, creative processes, and different clay bodies, allowing students to continue growing artistically term after term. Everyone participants at their own speed, with guidance and support throughout the journey. As part of the program, you will also be offered extra studio dates, allowing you to attend a total of 8 sessions. All materials are included, and we use only Australian-certified food-safe materials. We are proudly an environmentally friendly studio, using unique ancient firing techniques that help create durable, food-safe, waterproof pottery while reducing environmental impact — saving our planet one piece at a time. Please note: support workers or social workers are required to purchase a separate ticket. U + Earth = URTH A Creative Community in Melbourne A Studio Built Around Connection Pottery is often described as a solitary craft, but learning pottery doesn't have to be. Urth has built a welcoming creative community where people of all backgrounds can learn, experiment and grow together. Many students join seeking a new hobby and discover lasting friendships, creative confidence and a deeper sense of wellbeing. From first-time participants to experienced makers, everyone is encouraged to learn at their own pace in a supportive and judgement-free environment.

The "8 Weeks, Wednesday Night, Pottery Wheel " ticket is sold out. You can try another ticket or another date.
